Yulia Vishnevets

A Moscow-based filmmaker and journalist, with a passion for exploring society through documentary storytelling. She is a documentaries director for Radio Liberty/ Current Time TV, Moscow. Previously  was a reporter with Deutsche Welle in Bonn. Her interests range from social exclusion to identities, conflicts and how people are affected by their surrounding environment. Yulia has directed around twenty short and mid-length films, most of which she also rough edited.

Her first feature film Hey! Teachers! Received the special jury prize in Krakow and Yerevan, and was part of the Best of Fests program in the IDFA festival. 

 

Eugenia Vengerova

Graduated from Moscow Higher School for Scriptwriters and Directors (film producing department). Former journalist and writer for various TV-documentaries at television company “Ostankinio”, reality director for the Russian version of the “Survivor” reality show «The Last Hero», then – assistant producer and writer for the television company “TV-Lyudy”. Now – an independent producer and author for a new production company “OkaReka”. has completed her first feature length documentary “Hey! Teachers!” in 2020 (screened at various international film festivals. Won Special jury mention at Krakow IFF and Golden Apricot International Film Festival, Laurel branch prise for a best ).
